I didn't quite get to put this all together, as I thought last week. Here's the latest (text taken from an email I sent out this afternoon):
The KM Summit set for Houston on 18-20 February is a GO.
Having said that, some things are finalized, but many are not.
What is finalized: Location (http://tinyurl.com/cgkms09lodging) & Dates (2/18-2/20).
What is not finalized: Agenda and Attendees
***** ATTENDEES *****
If you are planning on attending, please either ensure your name is listed here (http://tinyurl.com/cgkms09part) or send me an email letting me know you are still planning on attending. Then, please make hotel reservations (http://tinyurl.com/cgkms09lodging).
***** AGENDA *****
The agenda is nowhere near finalized. As a matter of fact, aside from a tentative agreement from APQC to provide a KM keynote speaker and a few ideas George and I have, we have little. If you'd like to present, please either complete the form here (http://tinyurl.com/cgkms09presentations) or send me an email with the information about what you'd like to present.
You will find a full FAQ about the KM Summit here: http://tinyurl.com/cgkms09faq. This link ought to be accessible to everyone, from anywhere (unlike the some of the URLs above which link to iPedia pages).
I will be spending all day tomorrow, January 21st, finalizing as much as I can, so your input/information is paramount. We are excited about the possibilities for this two and a half day gathering, but I'm also a bit worried that we don't have more confirmed attendees or presentation/discussion topics.
I am scheduled to be out of the office 1/22 through 1/27 covering the home front while my bride is out of town at a family funeral. If you would like to chat with me during that time, please call me at home (leave a message if you get the answering machine; there's a possibility I'll have my hands full with dirty diapers or some other domestic task; if you need the number, send an email to my GAL address, and the out-of-office reply will have it) or email (see pastinson.googlepages.com/contactinfo for specifics). My hope is to "nail this puppy" by COB 1/21, but I know that is unlikely.
I look forward to seeing you all in Houston.
